Naming Ceremonies

Is there a new baby in the family? Congratulations! A naming ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome children into your family and wider community.
It’s never too late to have a naming ceremony.

For adopted and step-children, naming ceremonies can be a special way to welcome them into their new or blended families.

If older children didn’t have such a ceremony when they were babies, it can provide a sense of unity with the family if they have one at a later time.

This can be a completely separate ceremony or included in the welcome to a new baby.

Sometimes teenagers and adults want to change their birth names. A ceremony that celebrates the name they have chosen for themselves is a great way to mark the transition from old to new.

Services I provide for a Naming ceremony include:

One obligation-free meeting with me at my home office in Neutral Bay.
If necessary, a second face-to-face meeting to discuss your ceremony.
Unlimited telephone and email contact.
Copy of my fee schedule.
Tax invoices/receipts for all payments.
Terms of agreement regarding your rights and responsibilities in relation to my services as your Celebrant.
Total travel of 50 km or maximum 75 minutes on the day of your wedding.
Provision of sample ceremonies for you to choose from; you can cut and paste parts from one ceremony into another.
Suggestions for readings and personal vows.
Souvenir copy of your ceremony.
Performance of the ceremony.
An evaluation form for your written feedback.

Additional fees are payable where extra travel or other services not listed above are required. All additional charges are outlined clearly in the fee schedule.
