Commitment Ceremonies
Although same sex marriages are currently illegal in Australia, many gay and lesbian couples still wish to make a public affirmation of their commitment to each. Some committed heterosexual couples may have personal reasons for not having a formal marriage ceremony. I am very happy to assist all these couples in creating a meaningful ceremony where they can publicly declare their love for and commitment to each other in front of family and friends. Commitment ceremonies generally follow the same basic structure as a marriage ceremony, without there being a legal declaration or legal document to commemorate it. A Civil Marriage Celebrant must make it clear to everyone present that it is not a legal marriage. However, these ceremonies can be just as meaningful as any wedding. I provide you with a commemorative certificate. My fee for a commitment ceremony is $440*. A 50% ($220) non-refundable booking deposit secures your ceremony date in my diary and guarantees that I will not enter into any other contract for that day/time. The deposit must be paid when you make your booking. Any outstanding balance is due 10 days before the date of your ceremony. Payments can be made by cash, PayPal or Internet banking transfer. Tax invoices are provided for all fees. * 10% discount if the total basic fee is paid in full up-front Click Here to Buy Now using PayPal or Credit Card Please contact me to talk about your commitment ceremony.
